The Universal Form is our signature exercise, created by Master Lawrence Tan. We use it in for both martial arts and wellness and have taught it for over 30 years.

It is a moving meditation, with its distinct stationary stance and sequence of five hand positions. The movements are coordinated with breathing and focus.


It is easy to learn. There’s one set of movements.

You can tailor it to your needs. It is designed to be done in different ways: a gentle stretch for relaxation, a dynamic tension exercise for strength, or to develop qi energy. It’s a great way to calm and de-stress.
